WOW! Bodkin Elementary School collected 930 lbs. of clothing and shoes in December 2018. Bodkin was awarded an additional $25 for collecting the third most in the county for December. A check totaling $118 was sent to Bodkin.
The top three schools in Anne Arundel County for December are: 1st Place: Belvedere ES 1535.0 lbs. extra $100 2nd Place: Seven Oaks ES 1167.0 lbs. extra $50 3rd Place: Bodkin ES 930.0 lbs. extra $25 Bodkin Elementary School will be paid for every pound we collect. All materials will be Reworn, Repurposed, or finally Recycled. Look for the large white collection bin in the school parking lot. The goal is to FILL our collection bin WEEKLY with as many PLASTIC BAGS of clothing, shoes and other textiles as possible! If we collect the most in the county, we could earn additional money for our school. Please keep us in mind when you are cleaning out closets! This is a friendly reminder that students go outside for recess even on cold days. So please send your kiddo to school with hat, gloves, scarf, and coat.
We would like to remind everyone that Anne Arundel County Public School buildings and grounds are tobacco free. This means not only do we not allow smoking in our school building, smoking is also not allowed around the building, including our parking lots and other school property and grounds. So even if you are smoking in your car, while you are on Bodkin property, including our parking lots and car-rider line, please refrain from smoking. Please help us spread this positive message about our schools and property being tobacco-free zones!
