Should gum chewing be allowed in school? I think not. I think you should keep the chewing gum policy in school.
One reason why you should not allow gum is that if someone is sick and they stick their gum under your desk and you touch it you could get a disease.
Another reason is that it can damage your jaws if you chew it too long or if you chew it every day!
Also, kids stick gum everywhere. We saw a video of a middle school that allows gum. They said that janitors spent hours in the summer cleaning it off things.
Last, some kids get headaches from the smell. I get them sometimes from the smell.
This is why I think we should not have gum. Please don’t let us have gum.
