Hello Bodkin families,
My name is Susan Burg and I am on the First Grade team. This year is my 20th with the county (which is hard to believe because the years have passed so quickly). My past 19 years were spent teaching mostly First and Second Grades at Freetown Elementary. I am thrilled to be at Bodkin and cannot wait to get to know and work with everyone. My husband, Mark, and I live about 1 ½ miles away in Long Point. We enjoy traveling, skiing, snowshoeing, and boating in a new boat we bought this summer. Mark and I just celebrated 12 years of marriage filled with love and laughter — newlyweds! We attend Heritage Community Church and are close to our families. For fun, I like biking, hiking, running, and photography. Nature offers so much and I try to take it all in however I can in every season. Fall is my favorite season with its crisp air and painted landscapes. Summer is sensational with warm sunshine and summer break. Winter is wonderful — the snowier and colder, the better. I am also a fan and supporter of the US Olympic Team and US Ski and Snowboard Team. One of my dreams is to have a student become an Olympian. I love to laugh and try to look on the bright side of life. This year will be terrific!
